Okay….we can’t make it snow in July, but we can offer you some cool ways this month to support your church family. In spite of rumors to the contrary, we are having Christmas in July! And yes, Virginia, that is a Christmas tree in the narthex.
Here’s how it works. Tags affixed to ornaments on the tree tell you what various ministry teams in the church need to better perform their ministries. Between July 1 and July 22, you can take a tag or join with friends to take a big-ticket item tag. When you take a tag, sign up on the list so we will know who you are and what you are bringing. On Sunday, July 29, bring your wrapped present to St. Simon’s and put it under our tree. After the 10:30 service, we’ll gather in the parish hall to open presents and have Christmas refreshments.
